Godby High student arrested with stun gun in 6th Leon gun busts

A 16-year-old student was arrested on Godby High School campus on Monday and charged with illegal possession of a firearm.

A teacher saw what he thought was a stun gun in his backpack and informed the school administration, who searched the student and confiscated the weapon.

He said the gun belonged to his mother, but she didn't know he was carrying it for his own protection.

The arrest is the second to be announced that day. Earlier on Monday morning, a Leon High School student was arrested and expelled from the school grounds for threatening another student in writing, according to an email from the school's principal.
