Motorcycle check leads to drug arrest in Christian County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – On Sunday, September 15, the Christian County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle.

A black book bag was found on the passenger, 35-year-old Tara R. Henderson. According to the press release, she initially stated that the bag belonged to the driver.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered that she had a Trigg County warrant for contempt of court. After searching the bag, officers found a black container containing a clear glass pipe that contained suspected methamphetamine residue, a small baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, and two straws.

She later claimed ownership of the bag and was arrested. Henderson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

She was booked into the Christian County Jail.
