Man injured in shooting on Saturday in Jonesboro


JONESBORO, Arkansas – A shooting incident resulting in one significant injury was reported in Jonesboro on Saturday.

Police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of North Allis Street at approximately 3:33 a.m. on Saturday, September 14.

The accident report states that a 19-year-old man suffered internal injuries from gunshot wounds. Police officer Jeremy White wrote that he found the victim lying in the hallway of an apartment, apparently bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. A witness said he was shot in both legs and in the pelvis.

The shooting is believed to have occurred outside the apartment near the northeast corner. Police found a bullet casing at the scene.

Police recovered a Kimber Micro 9mm pistol, described as silver in color with a wooden handle. The weapon may have been stolen, as the report states it was stolen through a firearms charge.

The incident is under investigation.
