Jey Uso wants to become singles champion: “I’m so ready”

Jey Uso is focused on his goal of becoming a singles champion in 2024.

The Samoan Superstar earned a shot at Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship on Raw. He defeated Ilja Drgaunov, Braun Strowman and Pete Dunne in a four-way match on Raw after Bronson Reed attacked Strowman and took him out of the match, giving Uso a shot at the win.

If he wins against the champion, Uso will achieve his goal of becoming a singles champion in 2024. He is a multiple-time tag team champion with Jimmy Uso and Cody Rhodes, but has yet to win singles gold in WWE.

Jey Uso was interviewed in a Raw exclusive interview on YouTube and asked if he would be ready to face Bronn Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.

He said he was ready and wanted to do it for his family and the WWE Universe, adding that he had to prove himself since it had been a year since he left Raw and Bloodline to move into singles competition.

“I'm so ready. You know what I mean, Jackie? Get ready to do it for the WWE Universe, for myself, for my family. You know what I mean? I really want to prove myself,” Jey Uso said on the WWE YouTube channel.

“It's been almost a whole year since I've been on RAW, since I left the Bloodline or whatever, since I started my journey. But we're going to get through this, Jackie, yo. I appreciate you being on the journey with your boy.”

“But look. But look. Braun Strowman. Yes. You and I will dance. And I don't know if you can dance, Braun Strowman. Braun Breaker, Bronson Reed. There's a lot of 'Brons' in there. But look, there's only one main event, Jey Uso, and you're seeing the new Intercontinental Champion: Main Event Jey Uso.”
