One dead in traffic accident involving a flatbed truck carrying milk in Tulare County

UPDATE: According to the CHP, a 22-year-old man was driving a GMC north on Route 188.

Witnesses told CHP that the driver of the GMC was constantly swerving in his lane.

Officials say the driver of an Enterprise pickup truck carrying cow colostrum was traveling south when he swerved to the left to avoid the GMC, but struck the vehicle head-on.

According to the CHP, the driver of the GMC was wearing a seatbelt but was killed in the impact.

The low loader failed while refueling and the entire load was lost.

According to the CHP, drugs or alcohol are not suspected.

Both vehicles had one occupant each.

According to the Tulare County Fire Department, one fatality occurred in a traffic accident outside of Lindsay on Monday.

According to TCF, the collision occurred on Street 188 north of Avenue 232.

According to authorities, the accident involved a truck carrying 4,500 gallons of milk.

Milk is spilled on the street.

According to authorities, the other person involved in the accident was uninjured.

CHP is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

According to officials, Road 188 will remain closed indefinitely.
