Sumter man arrested for sexually abusing three minors

SUMTER, SC (WIS) – The Sumter County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) announced Monday afternoon that a Sumter man was arrested in connection with the sexual abuse of a minor.

According to officials, 20-year-old Bradley Thompson was charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

Deputies said they received a call from people reporting that young children claimed to have been sexually abused by Thompson.

The children were examined by a doctor and officers underwent further examination and forensic interviews.

According to deputies, Thompson is accused of sexually abusing three children between May 1 and August 18. They added that Thompson allegedly admitted to the acts.

Thompson was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center and his bail was denied.
