Eagles WR AJ Brown expected to be out for “a few weeks”

PHILADELPHIA – Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown is expected to miss “a couple of weeks” with a hamstring injury, he told ESPN's Lisa Salters Monday night.

Brown added that he did not consider the injury to be serious.

Brown appeared on the injured list Friday after his hamstring “strained up a little bit” during practice, according to coach Nick Sirianni. Brown was later ruled out for Monday night's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Sirianni said after the game he did not know how long Brown would be out.

“It's clear that AJ is out. He's one of the best players in the NFL and we're going to miss him,” Sirianni said.

If Brown's schedule is followed, the Eagles will be without their star wideout for next week's game against the New Orleans Saints. Philadelphia will then play at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before a Week 5 off.

With Brown out, wide receiver Parris Campbell was called up from the practice squad on Monday. Jahan Dotson and Britain Covey played alongside DeVonta Smith against the Falcons.

Brown, 27, has been a key part of the Eagles' offense since being signed from the Tennessee Titans in 2022. He became the first Eagles player in team history to record over 1,400 receiving yards in two consecutive seasons, setting franchise records for receiving yards in both seasons.

His 2024 season got off to a quick start, as he had five receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown in a Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil.
