Four people have been charged following a drug raid in Solon.

Two of the suspects in a drug raid in Solon are not from Maine

Two of the suspects are from Maine:

  • Cory Miller, 36, of Solon, is accused of aggravated drug trafficking.
  • Kaylee Cowan, 31, of Waterville was arrested on a Kennebec County warrant.

The other two suspects come from other states:

  • Derek Sicard, 32, of Massachusetts, is charged with aggravated human trafficking.
  • 47-year-old Sir Michael James from Rhode Island is accused of serious drug trafficking.

Cowan will be booked into the Kennebec County Jail. The other three suspects are scheduled to appear in Somerset County court in December.

Police in the state of Maine seize large amount of cash and loaded weapon in drug raid

The charges stem from a months-long investigation into suspected drug dealing at the South Solon Road home. A search warrant was executed at the address around 10 a.m. Friday morning. Several people were at the home, including some who police say were involved in a fatal crash in Solon in early August.

As WABI-TV reported, police seized $18,000 in suspected drug money, a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia and documents during the search.
