Episode 3 of “Hit Close to Home” gives a foretaste of the murder and conspiracy trial against Donna Adelson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Donna Adelson is accused of conspiring to murder her former son-in-law, Dan Markel.

Jury selection begins on Tuesday for the trial of the 74-year-old from South Florida. She is the fourth person to be charged with the 2014 contract killing.

Her son, Charlie Adelson, was convicted last year of conspiring to murder Markel, a young law professor at Florida State University.

Ahead of her trial, WCTV launched “Hit Close to Home,” the network's first narrative podcast. The project offers an in-depth and hyperlocal look at the decade-long case.
