Minor dies in accident after collision with semi-trailer

Fulton County, Arkansas. – A minor was killed in a car accident when her pickup truck collided with a semi-trailer truck.

According to Arkansas State Police, a minor female was traveling on U.S. Highway 63 at 7 a.m. Friday morning, September 13, 2024. She allegedly lost control while attempting to make a turn, causing the passenger side of her pickup truck to collide with the front of an oncoming semi-truck. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the accident.

While the report did not identify the teen, it did say she was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was wet and it was raining at the time of the accident.

Due to the crash, the Highland School District said several sporting events on Friday and Saturday were canceled. ACT tests scheduled for Saturday morning were also canceled.
