LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Sunday after several drugs were seized during a traffic stop in south Lincoln, court documents say.

At around 11 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle near 40th Street and Pioneers Boulevard after it circumvented a road closure.

During the traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked the driver and 39-year-old Jessica Serda to exit the vehicle, an affidavit states.

Officers searched the vehicle and found several syringes, bags containing liquid and white residue, cash and other items typically associated with drug sales, the affidavit states.

According to police, some of the syringes contained traces of a “black substance.” Investigators later learned that some of the syringes were filled with cocaine and fentanyl.

In a brown paper bag, officers discovered 47 M30 pills, marijuana and a bag containing approximately 26.7 grams of amphetamines, the affidavit states.

A patrol car's dashboard camera showed Serda throwing the paper bag out the window, investigators said in the affidavit.

According to court documents, she is now charged with four serious crimes, including drug possession with intent to resell and tampering with evidence.

A Lancaster County judge set Serda's bail at $250,000, meaning she must pay $25,000 to be released from jail.

The driver of the vehicle was cited and released on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
