Coroner releases names of man and woman who committed suicide in North Side apartment complex

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Coroner has released the names of two people who died in a murder-suicide over the weekend.

Tevin Hall, 30, died of a gunshot wound to the head. San Antonio police say he turned the gun on himself after killing 28-year-old Kenya Joy Bland, who was in the apartment with him.

The bodies were found when officers were called to a welfare check on Sunday morning.

Police initially went to an apartment on Jones Maltsberger Street to check on Hall, but he was not there.

Officers learned he was in an apartment in East Sonterra. They attempted to contact Hall for several hours. The SWAT team eventually entered the apartment and found the bodies of Hall and Bland

The investigation is still ongoing.
