Car crash near Tomah leaves one dead, one injured | Local news

TOMAH, Wisconsin (WKBT) – One person was killed and another injured in a car crash Monday near Tomah.

According to WisDOT, the accident occurred Monday evening around 10:10 p.m. on I-90 eastbound at mile marker 37 near Tomah. A GMC Savanna van and a Chevy Silverado were involved.

Both drivers were trapped in their cars and suffered injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado was flown by helicopter to La Crosse with injuries that WisDOT described as “serious” and “non-life threatening.”

After the accident, traffic on I-90 eastbound was closed for several hours.

The names of the people involved are not currently being disclosed.
