Morgan Wallen could serve up to 2 months in prison for the incident with the boss, according to the report

It is well known that Morgan Wallen was arrested last spring for throwing a chair off the roof of Eric Church's Bar Chief's in downtown Nashville. The masses have followed the story closely with empathy and a critical eye and continue to do so as new information comes to light.

For context: Wallen is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace. He was released that evening on $12,500 bail. After his arrest, Wallen had his first court date in Davidson County General Sessions Court on August 15. However, his attorneys requested an adjournment, resulting in a new date in mid-December. That's all the public knows about the story so far.

Morgan Wallen's unlikely deal

With the help of an inside source, Life & Style Magazine learned that Wallen's legal team has been trying to negotiate a deal. The deal they are fighting for would mean no jail time and only probation for Wallen. However, the chances of that happening seem minimal.

“It's looking grim right now. He's probably going to spend time behind bars,” the inside source says. “I don't think prosecutors want him to get off without a prison sentence because people think it's because of his celebrity status.”

Hoping for a crime

According to the inside source, “Morgan is being told the best case scenario is a 30-60 day jail sentence.” If that does happen, it would create some problems for Wallen in terms of his schedule. In addition to the potential jail time, another question for Wallen is whether Davidson County prosecutors will reduce the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor.

If Morgan Wallen is convicted of a crimehe will have a hard time getting work visas to tour internationally,” the source said. For now, Wallen's only hope is his upcoming court date in December. If Wallen pleads guilty to the charges, he will receive his sentence sooner. If not, there is no telling how long the trial will take. The 31-year-old country star joins a long list of musicians facing charges in Davidson County.
