Juventus vs PSV: UEFA Champions League – BBC Sport

Juventus started their Champions League season with a comfortable win over PSV Eindhoven at the Allianz Stadium.

Kenan Yildiz brilliantly gave Thiago Motta's side the lead in the 21st minute with a powerful shot that rebounded off the post.

With his goal, the 19-year-old has replaced Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero as the club's youngest goalscorer in European elite competition.

Buoyed by Yildiz's goal, Juve pushed forward and scored a second goal six minutes later through former Leeds midfielder Weston McKennie.

The US international beat PSV goalkeeper Joel Drommel with a direct shot from seven meters.

Six minutes into the second half, Dusan Vlahovic played a beautiful pass across the penalty area to Nicolas Gonzalez.

The Argentine needed just one touch to get into position and then fired past Drommel to score his first goal for Motta's team and make it 3-0.

With the last shot of the game, Ismael Saibari scored the consolation goal for the Dutch Eredivisie champions after a beautiful pass from Johan Bakayoko.

Juventus next travel to Germany to face RB Leipzig, while PSV host Sporting Lisbon at the Philips Stadium.
