The Champions League kicks off this week and the NFL season is officially underway, so it's the perfect time to take advantage of some of CBS's live offerings that you can stream on Paramount+. If you haven't subscribed yet, you're in luck because for a limited time, Paramount+ annual plans are 50% off.

Paramount+ is the streaming home for everything from CBS, from flagship dramas like Blue Bloods and Criminal Minds to the 100 regular season NFL games scheduled to air on the network this season. Plus, there's every game from Europe's elite soccer tournament, the Champions League. Paramount+ offers all that in one place for those without cable, plus several original shows, Showtime perks and other live TV options depending on which plan you choose.

Until September 23, 2024, both tiers of Paramount+ are available for half price when you sign up for an annual contract and use the promo code CASE50. Below, we've outlined the exact savings and highlighted what you get with each available Paramount+ plan. And no matter which option you choose, you can try it free for a week.

Paramount+ Essential is available for just $30 (down from the usual $60), while Paramount+ with Showtime is offered for $60 (down from the usual $120). If you choose one of these plans, you pay the fee up front (after the seven-day free trial ends) and get Paramount+ for a full year. Subscriptions renew at the standard price at this time next year.

What is included in the Paramount+ Essential plan?

The Paramount+ Essential plan is all about on-demand content. The plan offers the entire catalog of CBS and Paramount+ original shows, as well as several recently released films from Paramount Pictures. While live streaming of CBS is reserved for the next tier, which we'll cover in more detail below, the Essential plan is does allow subscribers to live stream all NFL games from CBS (as long as they are broadcast on your local CBS station).

This also applies to live UEFA Champions League matches. You won't be able to watch your favorite CBS dramas and comedies live, but this plan lets you stream them on-demand the next day. The Essential tier includes ads for both live and on-demand content.

What's included in the Paramount+ plan with Showtime?

As you might have guessed from the name, the Paramount+ with Showtime subscription offers all of Showtime's original series and movies, in addition to the full lineup of CBS and Paramount+ content. Everything is available on-demand and can be watched ad-free. But the biggest new feature of the With Showtime subscription is the ability to live stream your local CBS station 24/7. This means you can watch every new episode of NCIS or Big Brother live without having to wait until the next day.

Like the Essential plan, you can watch all available NFL games on CBS live through your local CBS affiliate. The With Showtime plan also includes other major games on the network, including March Madness and select WNBA games on the weekend.

Who is eligible for the offer?

New and former subscribers are eligible for the Paramount+ annual offer. This means that even if you already had an account and opted for an annual plan, you can still take advantage of the offer. However, only new subscribers can access the free trial, so former subscribers will be billed immediately after signing up.

How much do monthly plans cost?

We've broken down everything you need to know about Paramount+'s annual plans, from what's currently on offer to what they're usually priced at. However, the streaming service also offers monthly subscriptions for both plans, which you can cancel at any time. The Paramount+ Essential plan normally costs $8 per month, and the Paramount+ with Showtime tier normally costs $13 per month. As with the annual subscriptions, both options include a one-week free trial for new customers.

Which Champions League games are available?

Every UEFA Champions League match can be streamed live on Paramount+, the only place in the US where you can find complete Champions League coverage. The first matchday runs from September 17-19 and the next from October 1-2. You can expect about two matchdays per month through January 2025.
