Bayern Munich vs Bayern Munich: Lineups, team news, injuries, more!

The season is still young, but Bayern Munich is already battling a serious injury crisis. On the eve of the club's first Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb, it was announced that Sacha Boey has suffered a torn meniscus and will be out for “several weeks”.

With Josip Stanišić already out, Vincent Kompany will have to train without a single natural right-back for his UCL debut. Fortunately, he has a few backup options.

About the team

In addition to the two right-backs, Hiroki Ito is also still out due to a broken foot. Given this background, Vincent Kompany does not have many options for his starting eleven.

In the most likely formation, we will probably see Harry Kane up front with Jamal Musiala behind him and Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry on the wings. Aleksandar Pavlović is likely to return to the starting line-up alongside João Palhinha, while Joshua Kimmich moves to the right side of defence.

With this change in defence, Bayern Munich should be able to cope with the loss of Boey and Stanišić for the next few weeks. Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae are expected to keep their places in central defence, and Alphonso Davies returns to the starting eleven as left-back. With Manuel Neuer in goal, the line-up could look like this:
