Billie Eilish and Finneas support Kamala Harris

“They are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet and our democracy,” says Eilish

Billie Eilish and Finneas have endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for the 2024 presidential election.

The Oscar-winning musicians and siblings posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday — National Voter Registration Day — urging their followers to register to vote and outlining their reasons for supporting the Harris-Walz ticket.

“We're voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they're fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy,” Eilish says in the clip. “Vote like your life depends on it, because it does.”

“We cannot allow extremists to control our lives, our freedoms, and our future,” Finneas added. “The only way to stop them and the dangerous agenda of Project 2025 is to vote for Kamala Harris.”

Eilish has been vocal in her opposition to Donald Trump's campaign and presidency since she became eligible to vote. In 2020, at 18 years old, Eilish became the youngest musician to perform at the Democratic National Convention, where she spoke out strongly against the danger she believed Trump posed to the nation.

“I don't have to tell you that everything is a mess – Donald Trump is destroying our country and everything we care about. We need leaders who will solve problems like climate change and Covid – not deny them. Leaders who will fight against systemic racism and inequality,” she said before performing her song “My Future.” “And that starts with electing someone who understands how much is at stake; someone who will build a team that shares our values.”
