“The Marlowe Murder Club” is one of the new titles on the PBS Prime Video channels in October

“The Marlowe Murder Club” on PBS Masterpiece and American Experience: The American Vice President Titles airing on PBS Prime Video Channels in October include documentaries.

PBS Distribution distributes drama, including foreign language content from “Walter Presents” and adaptations of beloved literary classics, crime and contemporary works for $5.99 a month on PBS Masterpiece; educational media for children on PBS Kids for $4.99 a month; a library of films, including the entire Ken Burns collection, on PBS Documentaries for $4.99 a month; and a diverse range of programming for every passion and hobby on PBS Living for $2.99 ​​a month.

On October 11, the fifth season of “Paradise” by “Walter Presents” will be released on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel in Italian with English subtitles. In this season, Mori's death ushers in a new era for Paradise. Conti takes out a loan from Umberto Guarnieri, who secretly wants Paradise to fail.

The Marlowe Murder Club premieres on October 27 on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel. In the series, retired archaeologist Judith Potts' peaceful evening is shattered when she hears a gunshot and suspects murder. With the local police – led by DS Tanika Malik – refusing to believe her story, Judith teams up with local dog owner Suzie and unfulfilled vicar's wife Becks to investigate the case. The unlikely group of investigators must use all their skills as they race against time to stop the killer.

Volumes 20 through 22 of Odd Squad will be released on October 1, 14, and 21 on the PBS Kids Prime Video Channel. The series follows the Odd Squad, a high-tech agency run by kids who investigate strange phenomena around the world. The agents face off against wacky villains and investigate particularly strange things by working together and using math to put things right. In this series, each strange and hilarious assignment helps teach kids ages 5 to 8 problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance.

The fifth installment of Lyla in the Loop will debut on October 7 on the PBS Kids Prime Video Channel. In the series, Lyla Loops and her amazing blue buddy Stu use creative problem-solving techniques and computational thinking to help their family, friends and community. From building homemade carnival games to learning the steps of a line dance to creating a new sandwich for the Loops family's Loops Lunch restaurant, Lyla, Stu and the whole Loops crew approach challenges with a dose of humor and heart.

Coming to PBS Documentaries Prime Video Channel on October 1 American Experience: The American Vice Presidentwhich tells the story of the second highest office in the land, tracing its evolution from a constitutional minor matter to a position of political significance. The film focuses on the tense period between 1963 and 1974, examines the passage and first use of the 25th Amendment, and offers a new perspective on succession in the executive branch.

From October 2nd on the PBS Documentaries Prime Video Channel Nova: Solar Systemthat explores our solar system, which contains countless fascinating smaller bodies such as moons, asteroids and comets. In recent decades, space missions have brought these neighboring worlds into focus. Planetary scientists take viewers on a journey through the solar system to gain new insights into our celestial neighborhood – and shed light on why Earth may be the strangest world of all.

Also available on October 2 on the PBS Documentaries Prime Video Channel is Secrets of the Dead: Return to Babylon. It tells the story of a people reclaiming their cultural heritage after an occupying power tried to wipe them out. Priceless artifacts from the Assyrian Empire were destroyed during the IS occupation of Mosul. Now a team of archaeologists is dedicated to finding surviving pieces. One possible discovery: the site of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Available October 15 on the PBS Documentaries Prime Video Channel: The Vice Presidential Election: Vance vs. Walzexamines the lives and views of JD Vance and Tim Walz as they campaign for Vice President. In a historic election, those who know the candidates best reveal the influences and ideas they would bring to the White House.

The second season of “Homemade Live!” will be available on October 5 on the PBS Living Prime Video Channel. Viewers will join chef and host Joel Gamoran and his celebrity friends as they cook, laugh and create new homemade memories. Guests on the season include Katie Couric, Tom Papa, Kenji López-Alt and Sunny Hostin.
