Accident involving semi-trailer slows traffic on I-74 near Morton

TAZEWELL COUNTY (25News Now) – During one of the busiest times of the evening rush hour, a collision between a car and a semi-truck occurred on Interstate 74 near Morton on Tuesday.

Illinois State Police said they were called around 5 p.m. after a collision between the car and the tractor-trailer occurred on the eastbound lanes at mile marker 101.

Police said one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was flowing eastbound in the second lane of Route 74, troopers said.
