Mariners Game #151, Preview: 9/17/24, NYY at SEA

Well, it was certainly fun beating the Texas Rangers for three games, but this week is about to get a lot more exciting with a series against the Yankees that ends the Mariners' long homestand. After that, they'll go on an Oops! tour of all the Texas teams, then come back for a quick three-game sweep of the A's to close out the season. But first, here's WonderWalls (Judge and Soto).

Time for the time-honored tradition of evaluating the graphics on the opponent’s lineup cards:

It's thematically appropriate that the Yankees, the New York Times of baseball (pejoratively), make their graphics look like an early '90s newspaper, even if that means using the ugliest italics known to man. This also gets points for readability and clearly presenting a lot of information. There's nothing super fresh or innovative here, but that's very much the Yankee way, so it all fits. Plus, they get points for not making a pun about SEA.
