1 dead in accident in South Everett




EVERETT – A man died in a car crash on Casino Road in Everett Tuesday morning, police said.

About 3:30 a.m., a silver sedan and a Kia collided near Walter E. Hall Park, Everett Officer Natalie Given said. The driver of the sedan, a man in his 20s, was dead when police arrived.

A man in the Kia was taken to hospital with serious injuries, Given said. A woman in the car suffered minor injuries.

Casino Road was closed for about five hours Tuesday morning while police investigated. Investigators are looking into impairment as a cause of the crash, Given said, but it is unclear who was at fault.

At some point during the investigation, a drunk driver arrived at the scene of the accident, Given said. Police arrested that driver.
