Tori Spelling's 90210 co-stars are 'excited' about her 'Dancing with the Stars' debut

Many of Tori Spellings Beverly Hills, 90210 Co-stars can't wait to see her compete for the Mirrorball Trophy Dancing with the stars!

Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, Jennie Garth and Ian Ziering gathered for a 90210 Panel at 90s Con moderated by PEOPLE's Dory Jackson on Sept. 14 in Daytona Beach, Florida. (Spelling was also scheduled to attend, but canceled a few days before the event.)

During the conversation, they celebrated the upcoming appearance of their former co-star on DWTS. Earlier this month, 51-year-old Spelling was announced as one of the 13 contestants in the 33rd season of the dance competition series. Her partner is professional Pasha Pashkov.

Green, 51, Garth, 52, Ziering, 60, and Carteris, 63, all agreed that the experience was “tough,” but all conveyed their best wishes for Spelling to the audience.

Green, who is working on the 30th season of DWTS with his now fiancée Sharna Burgess, said: “Keep a cool head and enjoy the experience,” he said, adding: “It's a seven-day-a-week job.”

Garth noted, “I'm so happy for her, I think she's going to do great,” while Carteris added that she was “really happy for Spelling.”

“We're all rooting for her,” Ziering chimed in, before asking the audience to support the actress. “Make sure you do the same.”

Shortly after the season 33 cast was announced, Spelling told PEOPLE exclusively that Green inspired her to join the series.

“Brian Austin Green knew the whole time since I got that call,” she said. “So I kept thinking, 'I don't know if I should do it or not,' but he was like, 'You're going to be great, you have to do this.'”

During the 90s Con panel, the four actors also paid tribute to their late co-star Shannen Doherty. The group publicly reunited just two months after Doherty's death on July 13, nearly a decade after she was diagnosed with cancer. She was 53.

Green recalled his long-time friend's “incredibly brave” and “difficult” battle with cancer. “She is an amazing example to me for all [how] She put aside her own challenges and her own health issues and really wanted to share her experience with everyone, and that was incredibly brave,” he said. “To go through something so difficult and be open about it, to be completely transparent and to share it with everyone is brave.”

Carteris noted how the actress became an inspiration to people in her own life. “I have a friend right now who is really battling cancer, and she said that Shannen really inspired her,” she said. “I think her legacy really makes a difference for those who are battling it, to know that there is hope.”
