Police search house after incident involving SWAT trucks in Chambersburg

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The Chambersburg County Police Department is alerting the public to an ongoing “police incident.”

Police are asking the public to avoid the Nicholson Square Village area due to the incident.

“The community will be notified when the incident is resolved,” Chambersburg County Police wrote in a press release.

Although information is currently limited, residents reported that several Special Operations Vehicles (SEWAT) targeted a specific house in the area.

Since then, neighbors have told CBS 21 that all SWAT vehicles have disappeared.

A CBS 21 crew was on scene and saw Chambersburg police searching a car in a neighborhood garage after the incident.

Chambersburg police said their officers requested a search warrant for the 1900 block of Ashley Drive in connection with another incident.
