Jimmy Kimmel reveals phone number of ‘moron’ JD Vance in epic TV prank

Jimmy Kimmel said that Donald Trump's running mate, Senator JD Vance (Republican of Ohio), “really screwed up” with his latest attempt to feed the right-wing disinformation machine.

“I think we're just scratching the surface of what a terrible choice this JD Vance was,” Kimmel said Wednesday night. “I'd be surprised if he even makes it to November.”

Kimmel blamed Vance for delivering Trump “perhaps the worst debate moment ever” when the former president “spread a nonsensical lie” that immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, had stolen and eaten pets.

“They're eating the dogs! The people that came here, they're eating the cats, they're eating, they're eating the pets of the people that live there,” Trump said.

Vance was one of the main people responsible for refuting the claim.

“Then it got into Trump's little brain, and now this moron is forced to defend it all the time,” Kimmel said, playing a clip in which Vance insists he heard about it “from voters” who called his office.

“This is crazy,” Vance said on CNN.

“It's so crazy it almost sounds made up,” Kimmel replied.

CNN's Kaitlan Collins contradicted Vance's statement that he received the information through calls to his office.

“If someone calls your office and says they saw Bigfoot, that doesn't mean they saw Bigfoot,” she said.

Vance called that a “completely fair argument,” but added, “Nobody calls my office and says they've seen Bigfoot.”

“Well, not yet, they're not,” Kimmel said, giving the phone number of Vance's office: (202) 224-3353.

“But please don’t [call],” Kimmel said. “He’s very busy.”

Kimmel had given the same number earlier in the week and asked people not to call and report that sprinkles on ice cream were turning their children gay.
