Did “AGATHA ALL ALONG” reveal who Joe Locke’s teenage character really is?

From the first two episodes of Agatha – All the timeall we know about Joe Locke's mysterious character, simply called “Teen,” is that he is a 16-year-old gay resident of Westview. A resident with a keen interest in witchcraft. He helps free Agatha from the spell that Wanda Maximoff cast at the end of WandaVisionA spell that lasted three years, only weakened by Wanda's death in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessHe basically tells her that he is the ultimate Agatha fanboy, a fan who knows way too much about her life.

But when Agatha asks Teen who he is, his words sound muffled and she cannot hear his name. In fact, a series of cursive letters appear above his mouth, preventing Agatha from knowing who he really is. Agatha then explains that the letters are part of a seal that is a concealment spell. Who (or what) put this spell on Teen is a mystery. It is a mystery in any case, and one that vexes Agatha to no end, as she cannot break the spell in her current powerless state.

Later in episode two, the two characters go on a car ride together. Teen tries to explain where he's from, to make small talk. But that very same magic prevents Agatha (and the viewer) from hearing it. We can imagine lip readers will have a blast trying to figure out what he's saying. This only annoys Agatha even more. It's obvious to her that the boy is special, even if she doesn't know exactly what it is.

Is “Teen” Billy Kaplan, aka Wicca, or someone else?

The prevailing theory, of course, is that Teen is actually Billy Kaplan. Billy in the comics is the reincarnated soul of Billy Maximoff, Wanda's son, whom she met in the Hex in WandaVision. In the comics, he becomes one of Marvel's most important LGBTQ heroes, Wiccan, a young Avenger. But so far we have not seen anything of it Agatha – All the time has confirmed this theory. Teen says he wants to follow the path of the witches to learn “how to blast, protect, and levitate.” All traditional powers used by Wicca. Agatha also notes that it takes someone with natural powers to break a Scarlet Witch spell. Could it be that he broke it because he's her son?

Fans have noticed that the squiggly letters on his mouth look like they spell WV for WandaVisionor simply the letter M for Maximoff. However, there are other possibilities. He could also be the son of Agatha, who she supposedly gave up in exchange for the Darkhold centuries ago. In the comics, that son was Nicolas Scratch. However, it is puzzling why her son would still be a teenager after hundreds of years. We have a strong suspicion that we may not learn Teen's true identity until the very end of the series.

When will Agatha – All the time Reveal the truth about “Teen?”

We hope that Marvel Studios understands how important the character Wiccan is to fans, especially LGBTQ fans, and that they don't screw up the perfect way to introduce him. As much as we loved him, WandaVisionwe are still a little bitter about Evan Peters' character, who they teased as Quicksilver from the Fox X-Men universe, only to actually be a guy named Ralph Bohner. If the same producers pull this trick again, we might be more than a little upset. Right now, we're betting Teen is some kind of Billy Maximoff, but who knows what the producers of Agatha – All the time in stock?
