'The View' star Sara Haines says Alexa reacted to sex noises with her husband

Remember when Whoopi Goldberg warned the world about the dangers of an Amazon Alexa AI apocalypse? Well, The view Co-host Sara Haines wasn't listening – the same can't be said for Haines' Alexa device, which she once admitted responded to sex noises she made with her husband, Max Shifrin.

Friday's episode of the talk show featured a Hot Topics discussion about NFL Hall of Fame member Shannon Sharpe, who went live on social media while performing a sex act. Haines, 46, admitted that while she never streamed any intimate acts with Max, Alexa tried to join in on the fun.

“One time Max and I 'cuddled,'” she said with a smile, while Joy Behar, 81, joked that she and Max, to be clear, “cuddled naked.”

Haines continued: “Alexa answered, [she] said, “Sorry, I don't understand the question,” which made her co-hosts and the studio audience laugh.

“If that had happened in my house, I think [my husband] Al was sitting in his convertible with the top down, driving around Miami while playing it on a speaker,” added 52-year-old Ana Navarro.

Previously, Conservative MP Alyssa Farah Griffin admitted that what happened to Sharpe was her “biggest fear” and that she had to take special precautions with her husband Justin.

“I swear every time I have sex with my husband, I take the phone off the bed and put it upside down. I'm afraid of live streaming or my mom calling and hearing it. The phone should never be in bed. It can be in the bedroom, but not in bed,” said Griffin, 35. “The official place is the nightstand, downstairs and locked.”

Earlier this week, Sharpe addressed the blunder on his Nightcap Podcast and said he was “embarrassed” by the incident.

“[I’m] “I’m embarrassed for several reasons,” he said.
