Three dead in suspected food poisoning in Taiwan

Taipei, Sept. 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Three people have died after a suspected food poisoning incident involving 12 people occurred in Taitung County, Taiwan on Tuesday, local health authorities said.

According to the investigation, the first person to fall ill was an elderly person who felt ill after eating home-cooked food. Although the person was in hospital, he died that same evening.




The other 11 people also ate the same foods and then sought medical treatment when they felt unwell, the Xinhua news agency reported.

Health authorities said the remaining nine people were still receiving emergency treatment and the cause of the food poisoning was currently being investigated.
