Emergency crews respond to incident in Chippewa County apple orchard

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) – Emergency crews responded to an incident Wednesday at Bushel and a Peck in Chippewa Falls.

According to the WEAU reporter on the scene, several rescue vehicles and a helicopter can be seen.

Bushel and a Peck is located at 18444 County Hwy OO Chippewa Falls, WI.

Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District Superintendent Jeff Holmes confirmed that no Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District students were present on any of the district-approved school trips on Wednesday.

Teri Thompson, communications manager for the Eau Claire Area School District, confirmed that no district students participated in a field trip to Bushel and a Peck.

According to the calendar on the St. Mark Lutheran Church and School website, the school's 4,000- and 5,000-student population had a field trip at Bushel and a Peck on Wednesday.

The WEAU reporter on the scene said it looked like a tractor was pulling a cart and the cart overturned.
