According to a police report, the victim, Giuseppe Benignini, who is listed as a model on his Instagram page, was driving next to a flashy McLaren, followed by a black Lamborghini SUV.

The McLaren suddenly changed lanes and passed into Benignini's lane, nearly colliding with Benignini's vehicle, the report said.

Benignini honked, causing the driver of the McLaren to pull out a gun and duck because he feared the driver would shoot him, the report said.

Moments later, Benignini pulled up next to the McLaren and the driver pointed the gun at him, the report said. Benignini took a video of the incident, which he posted on Instagram.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the singer Ovi pulled out a gun and threatened me here in Miami,” Benignini said in the video in Spanish. “When he pulled out the gun, I swerved, moved to the other lane and drove fast, and he pulled over to my side. When he pulled over to my side, he pulled the gun back out the window and pointed it at me like that. I thought he was going to shoot me.”

The footage was also posted on Only in Dade's Instagram page, where it had over 12,000 likes and 1,600 comments as of Wednesday morning.

According to the report, Benignini identified the driver as Ovi through his Instagram page, ovi_oficial, which features photos and videos of Ovi driving the flashy McLaren and a black Lamborghini SUV.

Benignini reported the incident to police, gave them the video and identified Ovi from a photo lineup, the report said.

Ovi was arrested Tuesday while driving a black Lamborghini Urus. Dashcam video shows Florida Highway Patrol officers stopping the Lamborghini.

The singer was carrying a black Sig Sauer pistol in his waistband, the report said. Authorities also found a backpack with two Percocet tablets in the Lamborghini, the report said. A taser was found on the floor of the SUV, and a passenger was carrying a taser in his waistband, the report said.

The singer appeared in court on Wednesday, where a judge set his bail at $6,500. Prosecutors wanted to bar him from using firearms, but his defense attorney argued that he should still be allowed to possess firearms, and the judge granted the bail.

Ovi, 28, is known for his reggaeton and Latin trap music and has nearly 3 million followers on Instagram.
