REPORTING, THANKS. THREE MEN IN THEIR 20'S ARE NOW IN CAPTIVA – THEY ARE CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH WEDNESDAY'S DOUBLE MURDER IN CHATHAM COUNTY. IT HAPPENED AROUND 11:30 AM IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX ON FENWICK VILLAGE DRIVE. TWO MEN WERE PRONUNCIATED DEAD AT THE SCENE. BOTH WERE SHOT AT LEAST ONCE. CHATHAM COUNTY POLICE SAY – THEY HAVE ARRESTED ROLAND HEYWARD, AKILEE WILSON AND ALBERT MACK. THEY ARE ALL IN CAPTIVA

Three men have been convicted of murder in connection with a fatal double shooting in Chatham County.

The three were arrested in August 2023 after Robert “BJ” Johnson, 27, and Eric Townsend, 32, were shot to death at an apartment complex on Fenwick Village Drive. In a statement released Wednesday by the Chatham County District Attorney's Office, Roland Heyward, Akilee Wilson and Albert Mack were found guilty on all counts, including murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The three were arrested in August 2023 after 27-year-old Robert “BJ” Johnson and 32-year-old Eric Townsend were shot and killed in an apartment complex on Fenwick Village Drive.

The verdict is scheduled for September 20 before Judge Lisa Colbert.
