YFN Lucci's lawyer confirms rapper is alive after false rumors of death in prison

YFN Lucci became the target of a wild social media rumor on Wednesday that he had been killed in prison. TMZ spoke to Lucci's lawyer, Drew Findlingwho confirmed that his client was alive and well.

The rumor seemed to allude to the recent death of Rich Homie Quan, a former labelmate of YFN Lucci, and quickly gained traction as fans shared the unconfirmed news from unreliable sources.

Lucci is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to a charge under the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act, but his legal team is currently working towards his early release.

In July, the Fulton County District Attorney submitted a letter to the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Parole supporting Lucci's early release. Findling said the move added weight to her efforts and called the letter an important part of her argument for his release.

Although they are pushing for an immediate release, Lucci could be free as early as January 2025.
