Who is the champion?

Anthony Joshua has much more experience at world championship level; he has already fought 12 world championship fights, 10 of which were for the unified title.

But Dubois is the IBF belt holder going into this fight. He won the IBF interim title in his last fight. When Usyk agreed to his rematch with Fury, Usyk was unable to defend against the IBF mandatory challenger and so the interim belt was upgraded to a full world title.

What is the current form of AJ and Dubois?

Both have bounced back from losses to the world's top heavyweight, Oleksandr Usyk. Dubois bounced back from his loss to the Ukrainian last year by beating Jarrell Miller, and he also stopped Filip Hrgovic.

Those fights were arguably of a higher standard than the four-fight winning streak Joshua has put together since his second loss to Usyk. But as Joshua finished Jermaine Franklin, then Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, he did so in increasingly impressive fashion.

The pre-fight conversation: What Joshua and Dubois say

Daniel Dubois said Sky Sports: “My goal is to knock him out. That's the program. That's the attitude, that's the intention with which I go into this fight. I'm going to focus my whole life on destroying him and just being a good destroyer, a good conqueror.”

“Don't wait. Get out there. Smash him.

“Go through it. Go through whatever I have to go through… No retreat, no surrender. And go out there and act like a warrior.”

Anthony Joshua said Sky Sports: “I'm just ready to fight anyone. This is my 13th world championship fight. That means I have to compete with anyone who is at this level or will reach this level. We're all here to do a job. We're all here as warriors to fight each other.

“[I’m] Focus, accomplish a mission, and then I'll take home a championship belt and everything else that comes with it.

“But no emotions. A job and a mission that must be fulfilled.”

What do your organizers say?

Frank Warren, Dubois promoter, said Sky Sports News: “AJ has more experience, but there comes a time in boxing when it is a young man's game. I think this young man [Dubois] is in top form at the moment and I believe he will emerge victorious.

“It all depends on how the person who gets caught reacts. If you get on the defensive in this fight, you're not going to win.”

“The one who will win this is the one who keeps pushing his opponent back, and I believe Daniel will be the one to do that.”

Eddie Hearn, Joshua promoter, said Sky Sports News: “If you get hit by Anthony Joshua right now, you'll go to sleep.

“If Daniel Dubois is as aggressive as he was against Hrgovic, it will be a tough fight. And if he makes a mistake, it's over for Daniel Dubois.

“In boxing, you're always one punch away from disaster, especially when you're up against two huge, fast heavyweights. That's the beauty of this fight.”
