Children are among those injured in tractor accident in Chippewa County

CITY OF LAFAYETTE, Wis. — Several people, including children, were injured in a horrific accident in western Wisconsin when a tractor overturned in an apple orchard during a school field trip.

A 4K and a 5K class were on this field trip this afternoon in the city of Lafayette in Chippewa County.

According to the sheriff, at least 25 people were injured after the car overturned on the way down. Three of the injured are critically injured, five are considered serious.

According to officials, both adults and children were injured, but exact numbers are not available.
