Scott Boyles charged with murder of woman killed on Highway 50

When CHP officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman dead from a gunshot wound in a broken-down Chevrolet truck.

CAMINO, Calif. – A Sacramento man faces murder charges after a woman was found dead in a car in early September.

According to CHP Placerville, 38-year-old Scott Boyles was officially charged with murder and arraigned last week.

The charges stem from a fatal shooting that occurred on September 7.

California Highway Patrol officials said they responded to a report of a broken-down truck on eastbound Highway 50 around 6:30 a.m. They found a woman inside the vehicle dead from a gunshot wound.

According to officials, Boyles was arrested at the scene and is in custody pending further legal action.
