How to watch the season premiere of “Golden Bachelorette” with two Iowans

The first Golden Bachelorette is Joan Vassos, a 61-year-old grandmother and school administrator from Rockville, Maryland. Her season premieres Wednesday, and you might see an Iowan or two at the introductions.

Which Golden Bachelorette candidates are from Iowa?

One of the 24 men participating in the show is 61-year-old Jonathan, a shipping consultant from Oakland, Iowa, near Council Bluffs.

“I feel like I'm very mindful and want to do considerate things for the person I love,” Jonathan said in an Instagram video posted by the show. He also described himself as a “hopeful romantic.”

Dan Roemer is a 64-year-old private investor who currently lives in Naples. Originally from Des Moines, Roemer graduated from Roosevelt High School and the University of Iowa. He left Iowa in the late 1980s and told the Register that he has called many places home since moving to Florida.
