RIKKI ROCKETT says BRET MICHAELS “doesn’t want” to tour with POISON in 2025

Rikki Rockett says that Bret Michaels is no longer interested in POISON Next year.

Today (Tuesday, September 10) POISON Drummer took his official on facebook. Page for writing: “I am asked several times a day: ‘Why isn’t POISON Tour in 2025 now?' Super simple answer, Bret do not want.”

RickyThe latest comments come less than three months after the 63-year-old musician, whose real name is Richard Allen Reamwrote on social media that POISON would go on tour in 2025.” He added at the time: “As usual, there will be no playbacks. Live, raw and uncut. With all the imperfections.”

Seven months ago Bret talked about POISONThe band's plans to regroup for further shows after the band's participation in 2022 “The Stadium Tour” next to MÖTLEY CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD And Joan JettDuring a question and answer session on 25 February 2024 on board the Save “Rock Legends Cruise XI” to your collection.he said: “If we go back, I think in 2025, for me it was always all original POISONWe have CC [DeVille, guitar] And Bobby [Dall, bass] And Ricky and myself and will do another major stadium and arena tour in 2025.”

About his motivation to go on tour again with POISON after spending most of his time touring with his solo band, Bret said: “We have known each other since middle school … I wouldn’t be here without Bobby or Ricky or CC And then, if you carry on like this, we have been together for a long time – still good friends. If someone saw “The Stadium Tour”that was a party. And when you're out there with the DEF LEPPARD And MÖTLEY And Joanthat is absolutely top class. And we just came out and delivered.

“For me it’s like this: We’re on our own for a few years and then we go out and do 35 or 40 dates with POISONhe explained. “And we set it up, we plan it.”

POISON's long delayed North American trip with DEF LEPPARD, MÖTLEY CRÜE And JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS was originally scheduled for 2020 and was later postponed to 2021 and then to 2022.

In 2018 POISON completed “Nothing but a good time” Tour with CHEAP TRICK And POP EVIL.

POISONThe last album with new material was in 2002 “Hollyweird”. An album with covers, “Poisoned”followed in 2007.

In 2018 Dall said that POISON “should” make a new studio album, but claimed he did not know if it would happen. “I'm not going to fool you and say there is [new music] in process [of being made]he said Everything that shreds. “Would I want that? Yes. But it's a question of whether everyone has the time for it. Everyone in the band has other commitments. Some members have younger children than others. So between those two problems it's difficult, and, you know, [there are] health problems as we get older. Should we record a new album? Yes, definitely. But will it happen? I don't know.”

In an interview in 2017 Ricky admitted that part of the reason the band was not motivated to work on new music was that fans rarely showed interest in hearing fresh material live when classic rock groups tour. “We could see the return of 'Talk dirty to me'and I don't know if people want to hear it or not, and that's frustrating, really,” he said. “AEROSMITH could, but not everyone can. I mean, even THE ROLLING STONES “I've had problems with that for the last few years. So… I don't know. But I think it's important to stay viable. For the 'super fans,' it's always a really, really good thing. And that's why you do it – you do it for yourself, you do it for the real fans, the really true fans.”

More recently Rocket admitted that he and other members POISON harbored a certain resentment towards Michael'swhose frequent tours as solo artists led to the band taking a five-year break from touring.

“I think we need to get some distance from each other and do other things, but at the same time I think he's spent a little too much time apart.” Rocket said. “There is definitely some resentment, but not resentment like I want him to fail. I want him to do well. I just want POISON to be important, and I want [him] a little more energy in POISON.”
