Grand jury indicts Ohio man who allegedly traveled to Wyoming to have sex with minor

(WXMI) – An Ohio man accused of traveling to Wyoming to have sex with someone he thought was a 12-year-old girl has been indicted by a grand jury.

William George Moon was arrested on March 19 after special agents said he traveled to Wyoming to confirm that a person he met online was not a police officer.

Moon had been speaking with an undercover agent posing as a single mother since January. According to court documents, during the conversation he expressed a desire to have sex with the mother's 12-year-old daughter.

A grand jury has since indicted Moon on charges that he traveled with the intent to commit criminal sexual acts, according to a filing in U.S. District Court.

According to court documents, Moon was previously convicted in 2006 for posing as a 14-year-old girl for sexual purposes on the Internet.
