“I felt like I had made it”

Her last film role was in 2014.

Eva Mendes may never return to acting.

Good morning AmericaGeorge Stephanopoulos asked Mendes in an interview on Tuesday if she was thinking about returning to work after taking time off to help raise her children. Mendes and her partner Ryan Gosling have two daughters together, 10-year-old Esmerelda and 8-year-old Amada.

“I don't know. If there are – you know – if there are interesting roles,” she said, explaining, “I kind of felt like I had made it, you know? I thought, I just worked with Ryan Gosling, who is, like, the best. And I had such a – I don't know – it was such a high point of my career, working with him and what we created together, that I thought, 'This is a good time to just do 'Seinfeld' and just go.' So, who knows?”

In addition to roles in the Bluish Franchise for children, Mendes has not appeared in films for a decade when she co-starred in Lost Rivera thriller written and directed by Gosling. She had the Barbie Actors during the filming of the crime drama 2012 The place Beyond the Pinesin which they are portrayed as a couple.

Mendes was “so lucky” to be able to spend this time with her children, she said in Today Show in March.

Mendes was on GMA to promote their first picture book for children, the new Desi, Mommy and the never-ending worries.

“It's a buddy story about this little girl and her brain,” said the Other boys said the actress. “And Desi has these never-ending worries – I do too – and she's trying to work with her brain to, you know, make sure that it's not bullying her by sending her all these negative thoughts, and that it's like a best friend to her. And so that's what that relationship is about.”

Mendes said she wanted to open a dialogue and encourage discussion about mental health.
