Trump jokes, “Golf is a very dangerous game” and explains how he would deal with an assassin on “Gutfeld!” on Fox.

Former President Donald Trump made a rare late-night appearance on Fox News' “Gutfeld!” just days after surviving a second assassination attempt while playing golf in Palm Beach, Florida.

In his discussion with moderator Greg Gutfeld, Trump joked, “I've always said golf is a very dangerous game,” referring to the recently foiled attack in which Secret Service agents saw the muzzle of a sniper rifle protruding from bushes near the golf course.

Gutfeld jokingly asked if Trump would have taken the shooter out of the game with a 3-wood, to which Trump replied, “I think so, if I had known.”

The former president praised the quick action of his security forces, saying, “The Secret Service did a great job,” adding, “We've been through a lot of this. We're getting better at it.”

During the conversation, Trump spoke openly about how he is processing these life-threatening incidents. “Being president is a very dangerous job,” he admitted, before reflecting on his faith and mortality, explaining that he has been thinking “more about God” since the earlier assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump also shared humorous anecdotes from his political career, including a call from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during a MAGA protest in 2020, where Walz asked him for help calming the crowd.

It was Trump's first appearance on a late-night television or cable show since 2016. And “Gutfeld!” continues to draw a broad audience of independents and Democrats, further cementing its unique position in late-night television.
