Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told Nick Maines of Crain's Detroit Business that his family is selling their home for the asking price of $4.5 million due to safety concerns.

The family “loved” the house, according to this report, but fans found out the address.

“The neighborhood, everything,” he said of what the family liked about the house. “There's a lot of space, it's on a 2-acre lot, the house is beautiful. It's just that when we lost, people found out where we lived.”

Campbell, 48, has turned the Lions around since taking over as head coach in 2021. From a record of 3-13-1 in his first season to 9-8 in 2022 and a 12-5 record and a playoff berth last season. The Lions were one game away from the Super Bowl, leading 24-7 at halftime against the San Francisco 49ers, but were outscored 27-7 in the second half and ultimately lost a close game.

Expectations for the 2024 season were high, even though the team only started the season with a 1-1 record.

Campbell's landmarked home has its own history in the world of sports, as it once belonged to Hall of Fame Detroit Red Wings center Igor Larionov, and the potential buyers are reportedly “huge” Lions fans.
