Accident on Blue Ridge Boulevard kills motorcyclist

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KCTV) – One person died in a crash involving a truck and a motorcycle in Kansas City, Missouri, Wednesday night.

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department said a preliminary investigation indicates a red Ford F150 was turning left from northbound Blue Ridge Boulevard onto westbound 99th Street when it was struck by a black Honda CBR motorcycle traveling southbound on Blue Ridge Boulevard.

According to police, the motorcycle was traveling at “very high speed” when the accident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The driver of the Honda motorcycle was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to KCPD, the driver and four juvenile passengers of the Ford were uninjured in the accident.

It was the 70th accident fatality in 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri.
