Fresno police sergeant arrested for attempted lewd acts on a child

A Fresno Police Department sergeant has been arrested and charged with attempted lewd acts upon a child, according to the Roseville Police Department. Roseville police said the department contacted Fresno police on Wednesday to inform them that a felony warrant had been issued for the arrest of 56-year-old Paige McQuay. The warrant was the result of a recent undercover operation conducted by Roseville police. Sergeant McQuay was taken into custody and booked into the Fresno County Jail. In addition to his attempted lewd acts charge, he is also accused of communicating with a minor with the intent to commit an unlawful offense. According to Roseville police, McQuay has been placed on paid administrative leave while the Fresno Police Department conducts an internal investigation. Roseville Police said the police department contacted Fresno Police on Wednesday to inform them that an arrest warrant had been issued for 56-year-old Paige McQuay. The warrant was the result of a recent undercover operation conducted by Roseville Police.
