Guilford County man wanted for murder in Fayetteville – considered armed and dangerous

A Guilford County man is wanted by the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

Alvino R. Wilson Whisett, 45, is charged in the death of 36-year-old Shaunta Jones of Fayetteville. According to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Britt Rad in St. Pauls, NC, for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, Jones was found shot dead.

Wilson is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Wilson is considered armed and dangerous.

The case is being investigated by the Robeson County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit. The Fayetteville Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, Guilford County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina SBI are assisting in the investigation.
