The legendary heavy metal band Metallica is coming to Charlotte in 2025

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A legendary rock band is coming to the Queen City in 2025.

Metallica expands its M72 World Tourincluding a stop at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The Charlotte show is scheduled for May 31, 2025. The tour will stop at stadiums across North America, including some college campuses. The band will also perform in Australia and New Zealand.

Advance ticket sales start on Friday, September 27th, at 10am. Fan club pre-sales start on September 23rd, at 10am. Information on purchasing tickets will be available from the start of sales at Here.

Metallica is the latest top music act to visit Bank of America Stadium. Elton John, Beyoncé, George Strait, Luke Combs and several others have performed in uptown Charlotte in recent years. Country star Morgan Wallen has rescheduled two shows originally scheduled for this summer to Oct. 18 and 19.

The Charlotte show is the only one coming to the Carolinas, but the band will perform at Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium on May 7. There are also two shows planned at Nashville's Nissan Stadium.
