Former UGA player and Super Bowl winner accused of attacking 82-year-old at Planet Fitness – WSB-TV Channel 2

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Police in New England have arrested a former University of Georgia football player and Atlanta native who won three Super Bowls with the Patriots.

Channel 2 Action NewsSister station Boston25 received Patrick Pass's arrest report and booking photo on Thursday.

Pass, 46, is accused of assault after shoving an 82-year-old man at a Planet Fitness gym in North Providence, Rhode Island, in August.

Officers responded to a report of an assault at the training facility on August 28 and found the man with injuries to his lower back.

Pass is accused of pushing the man and throwing him to the ground after the two argued over a piece of exercise equipment, according to police.

LATEST STORIES:

Pass grew up in the Atlanta metropolitan area and graduated from Tucker High School before playing football at the University of Georgia.

The fullback appeared in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII and XXXIX and was the starter in New England's victory over Philadelphia in Super Bowl XXXIX.

Pass is due back in court in December, Boston25 reports.
