If there's one thing you can count on in the world of food, it's that McDonald's keeps making headlines. It seems like the Golden Arches can't help but make a splash in the fast-food world every few weeks. Even though fall has just begun, the chain is on everyone's lips with the launch of its biggest burger yet, some popular menu items back in restaurants, the newly extended $5 menu, and even an unbeatable 50 cent burger deal. While that was a lot, don't take a breath just yet—McDonald's has a brand new menu that will have you running for your car keys to drive through the drive-thru.

McDonald's introduces new Crocs Happy Meal

Happy Meals have a long and storied history, but one thing has remained constant since their introduction in the '70s: Happy Meal toys always go viral. From the Squishmallows toys that fans urged McDonald's to bring to the U.S. to the “Adult Happy Meal” toys that reportedly resold for up to $300,000 in 2022, Happy Meals and their accessories often become collector's items.

And while we're still trying to snag all the Collector's Cups the chain released in early August, McDonald's is about to take over the internet (and eBay) again with a brand new set of Happy Meal toys.

According to the McDonald's website, each Crocs Happy Meal comes with one of eight exclusive Crocs clips. The Crocs clip comes in its own Happy Meal shoebox with a special sticker sheet that mimics Crocs Jibbitz so you can customize your mini Crocs shoe. And while the Crocs clips are sure to be popular with kids (especially for decorating their new backpacks), we wouldn't be surprised if you see adults fighting over these toys in drive-thru lines and on resale sites like eBay, too.

Notably, this isn't the first collaboration between the two brands: last fall, Crocs released a collection of McDonald's-themed shoes (which we really liked) with four designs featuring McDonaldland characters and even a special menu item, Jibbitz.

And apparently the Crocs clips aren't exactly new either. Some social media sleuths have discovered that they've already been released in international McDonald's restaurants with 10 different designs, but the U.S. restaurants will only get eight. Hey – if Mickey D's brings any International items to the USA, we consider that a win.

The Crocs Happy Meals will be available at participating McDonald's locations nationwide starting September 17, but only while supplies last. So if history has taught us anything, it's that you'll want to switch your Crocs into “sport mode” and literally run to the nearest McDonald's if you want to get your hands on these limited-edition toys.
