South Windsor man arrested for domestic violence

SOUTH WINDSOR – A Hartford man was arrested Tuesday for an August domestic violence incident, South Windsor police said.

Isander Nieves, 50, was taken into custody on a warrant at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, according to a statement from South Windsor police.

Nieves faces charges of second-degree disturbing the peace, second-degree harassment and second-degree threatening after he allegedly showed up at the victim's residence, threatened physical violence and sent several harassing and threatening text messages.

Police found Nieves in Hartford, where he was arrested and charged in court.

He was held on $25,000 bail.

Nieves appeared in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The outcome of the court hearing was not immediately available.
