Two lanes are closed on Interstate 471 following a crash in Newport Thursday afternoon.According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the two right lanes and right shoulder northbound on the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge are closed. Emergency crews are on scene.Several injuries have been reported, but have not been confirmed by WLWT at this time. The severity of the injuries is currently unknown.It is unclear when the lanes will reopen. UPDATE: After an earlier accident in Newport, all lanes on Interstate 471 have been reopened.

Lanes on Interstate 471 are closed following an accident in Newport on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Kentucky Department of Transportation, the two right lanes and right shoulder northbound on the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge are closed.
