Police search for murder suspect from Walnut Hills

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati police are searching for a man wanted for murder.

Eugene Johnson, 61, is considered armed and dangerous, according to Cincinnati police.

Johnson is wanted for the murder of 60-year-old William Hawkins, Lt. Jonathan Cunningham confirmed.

Hawkins was stabbed to death on Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills around 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 17, police previously said.

The 60-year-old was taken to hospital, where, according to police, he died a few days later, on August 20.

According to police, Johnson frequently hangs out in Walnut Hills, Gilbert Avenue and Beecher Street.

He is described as 6'1″ tall, 125 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes, police said.
